Frequently Asked Questions

We will upload questions to this section of the website as they come in, we hope this will provide a useful tool for applicants.
  • What does ‘Project Start’ date and ‘Project End’ date refer to? – The Project Start date is the date you wish to start spending money on the works you will claim as part of the grant. The Project End date is the end date by which you will have finished spending money on the works you will claim as part of the grant. It does not mean the end of the project, it just refers to the last date you will spend money that you will claim back from us.
  • Can I apply for as many grants as I like? – No, you can receive up to a maximum of 200,000 euros state aid (approx £145,000) in a rolling 3 year period. Once you have reached that maximum, you cannot apply for more funding until you are below that threshold again. This is due to the state aid de-minimus regulation that applies a maximum limit on the grant aid you can receive in a given period.
  • Can I claim back the grant over several years? – No, you have a maximum limit of 12 months to claim the grant from the time your project starts. If you then wish to apply for further funds towards a stage 2 element of your project, you would be welcome to do this.
